MANAGE LAYERS
by uchideshi34
Version tested here: 1.1.0
This mod adds a new tool which will help you add, remove, sort and rename layers easily.
To find it, open the Settings tab and click on Manage Layers.

A new panel will be displayed on the right side of your screen.

HOW DO LAYERS WORK?
A layer is defined by 3 things:
Type: Tool Layer or User Layer (Tool Layers can not be edited)
Name: What will be displayed in the layer list
ID: A positive or negative number that will define its position in the list
EDITING EXISTING LAYERS
By default, you will see the following list:

The lowest layers are at the top of the list and the highest at the bottom, which might be counterintuitive.
Greyed-out layers are Tool Layers and can't be edited, as it would likely break the software.
CHANGING A LAYER'S ID AND POSITION
On the left, the numbers represent the ID of each layer. You can edit them by clicking on them, change the value to any number you like, and press ENTER to confirm. It will automatically set the layer's position according to the number you entered.
For example, if you change 100 by -101, User Layer 1 will be placed before Below Water (ID: -100).

RENAMING A LAYER
You can rename any editable layer by clicking on its name and press ENTER to confirm the new name.

DELETING A LAYER
You can delete any editable layer by clicking on the bin icon
at the end of the line. It will then display a confirmation window listing all the assets you have on that layer.

Deleting a layer can not be undone.
Any edition will then be seen in the other tools' layer list.

ADDING A NEW LAYER
To add a new layer to the list:
Type a number in the New Layer ID field

Enter a name in the New Layer Name field

Click on Create New Layer

The layer will then appear in the list according to its ID.

Any new layer will then be found in the other tools' layer list.

Usually, creators post some minor updates of their mods on Discord and release a bigger update from time to time on CartographyAssets.com, so if you're missing some features from there, you might find the most recent version on Discord.
